xbox 360 VS the PS3

How many people like the Xbox 360 or the PS3?

Xbox 360, because it is cheaper, better, and there are more games made just for it.

I hate these kinds of threads, but here I go. I prefer the 360 because I like XBL, and it has a much nicer dashboard interface, but the Natal dashboard is gonna mess with that since they're making it the dashboard regardless if you have it. -.- And I prefer the exclusives, such as Mass Effect 1 and 2. Gears is okay, and Halo Reach I'm super pumped for. It looks so pretty and multiplayer will blow CoD's out of the water.

PS3 they put so much effort into it with the ton of finance they made from the ps2 but as usual Sony doesn't realise when to stop and made something that surpassed its time and current markets budget. For this i applaud them, rather than doing it soley for the money they try and push technological limits, rather than just sticking out another DVD early 21st centuary machine onto the market.
Also encountering the major loss the origional PS3 was they where able to turn it completly around turning years of loss from figures like 300 million into a pure net profit of 500 million plus with the introduction of the slim line console range. They have also done a good job with re-arranging pricing to be more affordable with you paying solely for the blu-ray drive when you by the system costing £50 extra, which less face it a future proof investment.

I don't see myself as one of those take siders in the "console wars" i just applaud them for their bravery in origionally creating the device. Regarding games i do love the majority of PS3 exclusives: ratchet and clank, god of war, heavy rain. But I would buy an Xbox if i had the extra funds as some of their exclusives are also quite fun to play like: Fable, Gears of war and left for dead.

Ten year olds don't have the attention span to play Mass Effect. Try again with a more valid argument. One could argue more ten year olds play CoD, which is true. On Xbox LIVE, I haven't met anyone under thirteen years old in such a long time. And when there is one, everyone attacks him for his voice.

I like xbox live, it's reliable and there's plenty of exclusive stuff and cool downloads.

This was a difficult choice because I own both the PS3 and 360, and I love them both. I had to choose 360 because as other said it is cheaper, most of the games that are exclusive to 360 are better than those that are made exclusive to PS3, and I generally prefer Xbox Live over Play Station Network. I really like the PS3 for free online gaming and for Blueray, but 360 is my overall favorite.

Full HD streaming in 1080p (Blueray quality) is where it's at!

I MUCH prefer the Xbox360 over the PS3.
It just provides an overall better experience, both from a media standpoint, and a gaming standpoint.

The PS3 is known for having hardware issues with music games. Rock Band drumsets aren't compatible with guitar hero on the PS3.

I like Microsoft. I've never had a bad experience with them. I can't say the same for sony or apple.

Nope, only the old ones. I would have more respect for the PS3 if it had backwards compatibility with all my old PS2 games.

Xbox 360. PS3's are too expensive for my taste, when their games don't appeal to me. Blu Ray is meh, I don't really watch DVD's. Free Online? I'd rather pay and get a bit more.

But, when Square_Enix finally decides to make Kingdom Heart's 3, I'll most likely have to buy a PS3.

I agree with you dude, PS3 all the way. 360 has better dashboard and exclusives cause they charge out of the ass for online so they have all this money laying around. >.>
