Hey,

I'm 15, and the thing is that compared to others in my same grade, I kind of look boyish. Their calves are all larger and their shoulders are wider. I've got some muscle tone (probably because of water polo), but not nearly as much as them. I've got pubes and a little armpit hair, and my dick is like 3.5'' soft and 5.5'' hard.... will i look more "manly" and even grow a little more down there? I'm 5'6'', but the doctor says I've only got an inch or two left in me... HELP!!!

There's no way to answer any of your questions.
And anyone who tries to directly answer your questions, is lying out of their ass.
Not because they're hard to answer.
But because puberty is so un-predictable, and so personalized.
Something that happens for one person, may or may not happen to you.
There's just no way to know.

I will say this though.
There's no reason, absolutely no reason what so ever to worry about something that is out of your control.

You MIGHT. Is your dad really manly? if so then your just a late bloomer. No worries. I know you might be frustrated, but time is the only medicine for you to grow. And you will. Good luck kid.

I had one guy in my class that was just like you. And there were a few others who were small, although not quite as "boyish" as this guy. When he was 18, he looked 14.

I would believe your doctor.

If your parents or siblings are much bigger than you, then it may be a problem with your pituitary gland. I think a guy in my class had that problem, and he grew a lot in his last year in high school.

It may be a combination of genetics and pituitary gland.

There was one boy in my school who had a serious problem with his pituitary gland, and he was very small and young for his age.

You may not have a problem with your pituitary gland. Compare your size with your parents' and siblings'.

Thanks guys, so far. I just wanted to say I am not SUPER behind... I just dont look as much of a matured person as eveyone else. But I guess there is still more time to grow, right?

The father of the boy I was talking about that was just like you - looking boyish like he was a junior when in the senior year - was fairly big. So I doubt it was genetics, which means his pituitary gland was under-active.

If your pituitary gland is under-active, then you will always be that boyish person who looks like a junior in college when in senior year.

There's another guy in my class who had a problem with his pituitary gland. Because the pituitary gland triggers the testicles to grow, his testicles did not start producing testosterone. His genitals looked small in grade nine, but his balls were not tiny. He also was very short - I'm guessing less than 5 feet in grade 9.

I think he started to get testosterone injections to develop his body, but his problem was with his pituitary gland and not his testicles. The doctor, or another doctor, must have eventually figured it out because during the last year or so of high school he grew and matured a great deal - growth that must have come from growth hormones or getting his pituitary gland to be more active.

You are saying that you progressing well in puberty, so you testicles are working fine and you pituitary gland is working sufficiently to activate puberty. It's just that your growth and maturity is behind. So, yeah, because of an under-active pituitary gland, I think you will always be the same relative to everyone else.

Hey bro, I had the same problem with the height, you height scale is based on your parents height, and while generally right, you might get an inch or two on them. I was only supposed to be like 5'7" or 5'8", but I am 5'9". As far as muscle tone, if you are that close to being done with height, you can start to work out, because you really don't have to worry about the muscle stretching out, so you can build up the muscle tone. Most guys reach their adult penis size around 15, but you can get as much as another inch before you finish puberty. A survey taken from a bunch of universities around the country, the average penis size for an adult white guy is between 5.5" and 6", so you are average, nothing to worry about. :D
