I saw this video on VT few seconds ago but the topic was deleted, I don't know why. A member posted it but it is gone now.
It is a very good video, a boy called Henry says that he is overwhelmed and amazed about Islam and wishes to embrace the religion.
I hope the admins didn't ddelete this video, for the sake of humanity...

I think at thirteen, one is too ignorant of the world and life to make any proper judgments on the subject of religion. This boy is a dolt.

It is better that a 13 year old child accepts Islam, than a brainwashed young adult rejects Islam

Thirteen year olds can't accept anything. You've a skewed and biased view as to what qualifies as brain-washing.

Well, I consider it brainwashing when parents say "Screw Islam okay, kid? Christ is our Lord and some say he is GOd itself and you will believe it or I will pull your ass off! Muhammed sucks and you will suck too if you have any small idea that musims are good people okay! Now go do your homework!"

I consider it brainwashing when any parent forces any religion onto their child. Your argument is invalid.

Who forces religion into their child? I have 4 christians friends in school and it is their choice to take religion lessons in school are not for example.

I'm going to step back a bit and disagree with your initial premise.

It is better that a 13 year old child accepts Islam, than a brainwashed young adult rejects Islam

Why is this?

That's pretty much the main idea in Islam, if I remember correctly. God is the perfect almighty, and life is to be spent worshipping him, and only him. And it holds really no other purpose. In fact they base their laws around Islam.

The most funniest thing is: The most videos which talks about Islam, you will inevitably find a guy/girl cussing the hell out of Islam, Muhammad and Allah.

In the end, I found out that they are bigoted Christians(Via PM, Comments, Profile comments)! Moon God, they say.

There are few notable atheists(Thunderf00t) who are against Islam, or religion as a whole.

But it is the Christians that make out most of the anti-Islamic videos and comments.

My Parents never forced their religion into me. Heck! My father was irreligious! But a few years back, I started to become a very religious person. And my father become one too, well, still himself, but started to pray the obligatory prayers.

Somehow, my prayers days started to recede a year back. And up to this point I remained a sceptic. Not really into religion any more.

What say you?

I don't think, until you've been exposed to a swath of other opinions, you can really "accept" a religion. All of us here on ROTW are qualified to choose a religion because we've respectfully listened to the opinions and viewpoints of others. This kid probably hasn't, chances are he just heard about Islam somewhere and didn't take a look at any other religions.

It's important to open your mind to all the other possible faiths before devoting your life to one.

What's the cutoff? I mean, we don't know much about how the dude arrived to this conclusion, and he is young, but bro seems to have put a little more thought into his life decisions than most kids his age. It's unfair to assume this is ignorant just because of his age instead of his actual reasons for converting.

Christianity is quite similar to islam in many ways really. I don't really know why Christians argue that theirs is practically superior than muslim's while they follow the same God.

if a 13 year old accepted christianity without anybody forcing him to, most people wouldnt even pay attention to it but since its a kid accepting islam then its a big deal. stop the discrimination

There is a huge difference. Like Jews, Muslims do not agree that Jesus is the reincarnated God, or son of God, or the whole idea of the Trinity.

There are a lot of differences between the religions in almost every aspect. But they all fall under one category, the "Abrahamic Religions".

It's just the fact that he makes it sound like he didn't consider any other religious path. He's devoting his life, at such a young age, to religion, something he may not have studied throughly enough.

Yes, but they're below the same God, why can't they accept that? It means God entrusted different people for different locations, to make their own interpretations for him and spread to cover more ground. But still, at least the boy chose his own path in life. I give him that. I do not really like how everyone today bases maturity on age, whilst others can be mentally mature earlier on.
