First off, this is an edit of an old poem I did, but I feel I changed it enough to give it a new name. It was pretty bad the first time around, I hope this one is better.
You came to me,
Too my front door..
Knowing you had no time
Wanting to see me before you go,
They spared you every dime…
But suddenly, I was nothing anymore
You passed me off like others before,
Simply using me like an automatic door,
Still I cried those tears for you…
As you lay there fading,
I stood there by your side,
You won't even look at me,
Or meet me eye-to-eye...
And as I cry she asks her now,
"Why does he feel this pain?"
As she turned, and looked at her,
She must now reply...
“Can’t you see he loved him?”
“Can't you see how much he cared?”
Look down at him on his knees,
His love has since been dead,
As the tears fell down down my chin,
I slowly came to mind,
The wetness on my face erased,
That dream for which I cried.
For Now I will remember,
Why I do not sleep at night,
Because my heart just keeps on aching,
For the dreams that still come by...
You came to me,
Too my front door..
Knowing you had no time
Wanting to see me before you go,
They spared you every dime…
But suddenly, I was nothing anymore
You passed me off like others before,
Simply using me like an automatic door,
Still I cried those tears for you…
As you lay there fading,
I stood there by your side,
You won't even look at me,
Or meet me eye-to-eye...
And as I cry she asks her now,
"Why does he feel this pain?"
As she turned, and looked at her,
She must now reply...
“Can’t you see he loved him?”
“Can't you see how much he cared?”
Look down at him on his knees,
His love has since been dead,
As the tears fell down down my chin,
I slowly came to mind,
The wetness on my face erased,
That dream for which I cried.
For Now I will remember,
Why I do not sleep at night,
Because my heart just keeps on aching,
For the dreams that still come by...
