There are so many photo editors out there, some good...Some not so good.
I happen to use Photoshop CS5 and Gimp2.
But what about you guys?
What do you use, and why do you pick that over others?

I use CS4 and Corell Painter.
I tried CS5, but it was basically the same as CS4 as far as the features I used, so I decided not to upgrade!

I use CS3 & CS5.
I used to use Gimp 2.6 until then.
Sometimes, I prefer to Gimp, cause I'm more used to it. But Photoshop offers much more, and is more user friendly.

Then ignore it.
If your read the full title, then what the thread is about, you'd understand that it's nothing more then a simple joke that has to be gotten over. =]

I'm not a photo editor, haha, so maybe I shouldn't respond...
but anyway, I use Paint.NET, because it's free and I don't need Photoshop to make my own desktop wallpapers. For something more full-featured, I'd use GIMP.
whore is not a nice word

Corel Jasc Paint Shop Pro Photo XI(in Ex hdd)
Photoshop CS3(this one is extended)(I am using this one),
Photoshop element 7 (in Ex hdd)
Photoshop CS5(in Ex hdd)
AcDsee Canvas X(It is useful if you have a stylus pad, that is)(in Ex hdd)
Manga Studio Ex ver3.0(Never used it, just laying around as an Iso in the ex hdd)
Gimp (downloaded and used it couple of time and then I left it around in the ex hdd)
Of course, I am using CS3, I am much more comfortable with it than with anything else.

Gimp: Because it is free, available under Windows and Linux, and has a wide range of tools;
OpenCanvas 1: Because it is free, light and simple, and provides a network mode in which several people can draw on the same canvas. I also like the fact that it can record a picture, but also events so you can later replay the file and see how the picture was done. It is an invaluable educational tool.
OpenCanvas 4.5: Because it is cheap, and a vastly improved version of OC1. "Multiplayer" network mode was dropped, though.
Manga Studio EX 4: Good page layout tools available, lots of inking/penciling tools mimicking real ones.
Corel Painter: Great, because it really simulates real tools on real surfaces.
Krita: Part of the Koffice project. I found its interface more comfortable than Gimp, but haven't used it recently because the current version still has a few annoying bugs.
When drawing freehand, I use Painter or OpenCanvas the most; Manga Studio mostly when I want to make a comic page; Gimp for most non-drawing operations.
Strangely enough, I've nearly never used Photoshop - I have no use for the many options it provides, and never felt at ease with the tons of settings it throws in your face.

Illegal download can't be talked about.
But if you want a free and good editor, download Gimp.
It's free, legal and really good.

I'm terrible with all image editors. When I need to do something though, I attempt to use Photoshop. Generally though I just click all the buttons until something cool happens.

I normally use either Gimp 2 or Photoshop 7.0. I prefer Photoshop over GIMP for the main reason of knowing the system.
