I think Oblivion, larger world, better story, better music...

Its kind of hard to compare the games, because fallout three is pretty much oblivion...with guns...

Fallout in a heartbeat. Oblivion doesn't even compare iMO.

Well I think Fallout 3 is no more than going to target A to target B, Oblivion has a rich storyline while Fallout 3 is all about chasing your pop and destroying a government lol.
I dont say I didn't enjoy fallout 3, it was a very good game but, I dont know, Oblivion made me play it for ages but i finally got bored from F3

Fallout is only like that if you choose to play it like that. You don't have to follow the main storyline at all, I didn't. I was level 9 before I even went to megaton.

Yeah me too lol. When I reached Little Lamplight, I was like lvl 18 without Broken Steel and I almost reached the level cap.
But in oblivion, you don't have to follow a storyline too.
In oblivion, there are guilds, and they have a lot of quests.
In Fallout 3, almost every NPC gives you a side quest but they are short and they don't have much of a reward.

Not every NPC gives you a sidequest. And while I certainly agree its not as big as oblivion, its quality over quantity. Nothing in oblivion compares to leaving the vault for the first time and seeing the world, blinking in the harsh sunlight.

Lol good one, but then again, you leave a sewer prison in oblivion.
Well i think comparing Oblivion and Fallout 3 is like comparing a PC vs potato salad. Two diffrent things i think

That is true. They're both good, and both worth playing. I just reckon fallout is better.

I think I like Oblivion better. It's more diverse and more to do.

Okay, Oblivion because it has Goblins lolol
Forget everything, fallout 3 levelign system is stupid. You can give points to any skill. For example, in oblivion if you need to progress in sneak, u have to sneak. BUT in fallout 3, even if you are a heavy machine gunner, you can have your sneak 100 since you gave points to that skill

Yeah, that system was a lot better. In Oblivion, you could level up everything, but in Fallout, you couldn't.

i couldn't really decide to tell you the truth, i've racked up an equal amount of gameplay on both, just depends what mood i'm in. Oblivion however is bigger and is less glitchy, but since there's a large time gap the graphics are better in Fallout. Plus i really can see how Oblivion has been heavily influenced by the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

anyone who has blown up that bomb knows that it is a epic cool explosion. and if you use console commands, and get the detonator and blow it up near or in megaton, it is even better.

Oblivion and Lord of the Rings ? Elder Scrolls WAS out before LOTR.
What examples can you give?
We don't actually compare graphics here, since some say Morrowind is better than even Obby

Are you being serious or just being stupid?! The Lord of the Rings trilogy was created in the 1930's through to the 40's
and examples. Fighting orc/orci like creatures keen on taking over the realm - deadra
men having to band together to defend themselves - deadra sieging towns around Cyrodil including the attack on Bruma.
one piece of jewellery designed for only one, ringing any bells...?

I can relate more with Fallout 3 because it's more of an alternate reality rather than true fiction. And it has nukes.

Well, I've never bothered buying Oblivion, but I can tell you now, I like Fallout 3 way better.
I love anything to do with post-apocalyptia.

Morrowind is better. It has a better story and it's scarier.

Yeah, in morrowind you can find lvl 100 and lvl 1 creatures at the same time, which is realistic.
And by scary you mean like creatures pop up in cavernys with 999 arms and 9999 eyes? Never play MWind

There isn't always music when a enemy comes out, and the lighting can be bad sometimes.

Loved Fallout, but hated Oblivion. In my opinion, Oblivion is one of those games that you need to be paying attention at all times or it's really hard to play. Also, the story in the beginning was really hard for me to follow. But in Fallout, the beginning (to me) was really easy to follow, and it grabbed my attention right in the beginning, whereas for Oblivion, I needed to be interested in it. The game is for only certain people in other words, and I'm not one of those people.

the beggining of Fallout crippled me, it was a true conserve and survive type game at the start, i was always being killed until i got the hang of it. But in Oblivion you can just F off to a town for a while to get to know the game better, join the fighters guild for experience ect.
I have Morrowind but i couldn't really get it to work on my PC without all the lag, but it seemed quite good but no where near as detailed as Oblivion.

Fallout is indeed a very good post-apo. game, the ambience first shook me too ( although first ı thought there won't be any creatures ( unlike oblivion) since this was real life )
And one thing also bothers me in Fallout...
I mean, 180 caps a bed, A BED ?
I really suffered in the beggining of the game until I got a house

Hopefully there will be an Elder Scrolls V. But at the quality Bethesda will want it to be at, will be at a standard better than the Fallout series since Obsidian have bought the rights of production back and wont want to lose their credibility. Although i feel that because of technical issues like better graphics, larger map and getting rid of the annoying glitches may take the game to future next gen consoles... :(

As is the thing with Akatosh on the main story line
Oblivion all the way
theres just something more satisfying about sneaking up behind someone and whacking them over the head with a mace than using the VATS to take out a mole rat from across the map

The Akatosh scene was immense killing the giant king deadra, i forget his name :whoops:
I thought the VAT system was a good step up if only it didn't lag or freeze nearly every F'ing time!

Yeah, VATS always freezes in PS3!
There will be a TES5, many said it would be Skyrim but we know now it is set in Summerset Isle but rumors said two titles, we don't know which is true: Alinor or Shadowrealm.
Fallout: New Vegas may be more open to modding because it is a whole city without radiation, and it will be VERY big ( come on it's VEGAS! )
Steve, the giant was Mehrunes Dagon.

I think both of these games where gennerally made as PC games then ported over which is why i've heard of lagging on both consoles :(
i also heard rumours that it was in either Skyrim or the Summerset isles, but i don't really think it will, both provinces aren't even half as big as Cyrodil and the snow would just get boring to players in Skyrim after a while.
oh yea, the guy that captured Uriel Septim before the game timeline :)

No, the guy who captured and imprisoned Emperor Uriel was Jagar Tharn
