Swim Team

So recently, I just joined a swim team, and so far, it's been like no workout I've ever had before, but I'm loving every minute of it. This team isn't really competitive, but our coach is working on getting us the certification that we need to compete. So what I want to know is, how many of you guys are on a swim team/thinking of joining a swim team, and if you're in one, why did you join, and what do you think of swim team compared to other sports?

I've been on competitive swim teams for over 5 years now, and I love it. Sure, practice is hell (5500-7000 yards in 2 hours gets annoying), but I do like it, the meets are great fun, and it keeps me active.

I only live at the pool, nothing special :P

I used to my in my districts cub-scout swimming team when I was 9 or 10, was really fun competing :)

since i was bout 5 i was on a swim team and water polo i like it but then again ive always been in the water and the workouts are great as well

I used to when I was like 9 but i hated it, my mum made me do it.
I still hate it, i hate going swimming and i refuse to wear a swimmin costume !!!

I am i have always loved water sports and our workout is really though we swimm two hours six days a week and do workout outside the pool two times a week

I've been on my local swim team since I was like 8 :P
I'm pretty good, I think ^_^ (not trying to brag though <.<)

I joined swimming last year. It's so much fun to just swim compared to other sports, and it gives you a good work out too! I loved the team last year (everyone was a big happy family <3) but this year we don't even have a coach... Thus no team. Really sucks.

I started swimming again from when I was little in tenth grade (in eleventh now) and i LOVE it. I feel so awesome after each workout. I'm on two teams. I love water. I hope to swim for college.

I have been on a swim team since I was 4 and swimming competatively since I was 6. The practices are harder than any other sport i have done. In general swimming on a club team is harder than a lot of sports.
