So yeah, I'm 14 going to turn 15 soon. I always hate it whenever I'm with a group of friends and we go hang out with girls. Don't get me wrong, I'm straight I've had 3 girlfriends and some pretty big crushes in my life. I just always hated it because I'm REALLY shy around girls so I really hate it because I rarely even talk because I'm afraid I'll say something that will make people laugh at me. I just feel so much comfortable hanging with my friends. I don't know I feel horrible about it because all my friends don't seem to act weird at all and it's really embarrassing.

I can understand how you feel there. I remember hanging out with my friends and I was always the quiet one. The one that had very short replies and only spoke when spoken to. I was always friendly, but I never knew what to say. Though when there was something I wanted to say or something they were talking about I thought that I should say a few things. Then I would talk just a little bit then shut up.

Maybe when they start talking about something maybe try and contribute to the conversation. Never feel like you're going to say something stupid. Everyone has their moments, but don't feel like they'll laugh at you because friends aren't going to laugh at you they'll laugh with you.Just start out slow if it makes things easier, by making small comments and then carry on a little more where you talk more openly and comfortably.
