Okay, so I really want to attend Ithaca college (Ithaca, New York) when I am 18 but my parents and by parents I mean my mom, won't let me go that far away. I want to go BADLY but how doni convince her to let go.

If you're 18, you're legally an adult and can make decisions. I recommend, nicely telling her, that its time for you to grow up and move into the real world. Go to college, get a job, wife/kids, the whole deal. Time to be the man she raised you to be. :)

Hmm, I live semi-near Ithaca. What makes you want to go to Ithaca so badly? (I'm not putting you down, please don't think that, I'm just curious.)

If it's a program at the college, maybe check and see if it's offered somewhere closer to home. :)

Well without a doubt the same or a similar program will be between you in Illinois and New York State.

If you're going that far to get away from your family, I cant suggest anything. But you are lwgally entitled to make your own decisions. educate yourself where you desire, go where you please, etc.

I agree. There comes a time when you should make your own decisions and, politely of course, let your parents know that's how things are going to be.

When it comes to the college that you attend, you really have to follow your heart. This isn't a huge decision that will affect the rest of your life. You need to attend the school that YOU want to, you need to choose the career that YOU want to. You can't let your mother dictate your life.

Also, Ithaca New York is a BEAUTIFUL place to be. :D
