Well you sorta said what you need to do, get to know him more, talk to him, spend more time with him, make him interested. Its amasing how just getting to know someone and taking an interest in them can get them to be interested in you. However it doesnt always work. gd luk

try to just talk to him more, and when there is a school dance or something, ask him to dance. thats what i did to my girlfriend before we were dating, and it worked
