Should the the border patrol be able to shoot at people who are trying to cross illegally? I'm pretty sure they shoot to kill.
I don't think they should shoot to kill, if they have to use lethal weapons at all. Bean bag rounds or tranquilizers could work. Killing someone just because they're crossing your border is stupid.

I agree, that's just wrong
maybe use guns that put the people to sleep, not kill

Exactly. A majority of illegal immigrants are harmless people just looking for a better life. There's no point in shooting them.

no way they should shoot to kill. Its a crime, but the border patrol is in no position to execute a death sentence on the spot.

I agree, tranquilizers are a safe alternative.

I'd agree with shoot to kill if the illegal immigrants were presenting themselves as a danger, such as shooting first. But assuming they're not, then the boarder patrol should use non-lethal force and send them back.

No, it is wrong to kill people for that reason. Unless there is immediate life-threatening, they shouldn't be allowed.

Why? Why do you have to cross the border illegally?
Is it really that hard/expensive to get your passport a visa stamp or to renew your residency?
Some strange policies you got there in Americas.

The number of visas is so limited and the fees so high that it would take an average Mexican family 10 years to obtain one, on top of thousands of dollars in fees.

Well, first, they're crossing the border ILLEGALLY. It's their fault they got shot. And, second, most of the ones being shot are ones who are trying to physically hurt the border patrol agents. The border patrol agents need to protect themselves, and the illegal aliens need to go through the right process, because jumping borders is wrong.
