View Full Version : Hiding my cuts?

I know I shouldn't cut, but without it I become so detached. I just need to see my own blood to know that I am still alive and that I might not feel anything, but I can still hurt in a different way. I am just wondering if I cut myself, where is the best place to do it that no one will ever see? The bottoms of my feet are out, tried it and cut really deep but absolutely no feeling, very little blood.... any sugestions?

I don't think anyone really can suggest a place to cut, it would be better not to cut in the first place! Have you tried not cutting? Find something that reminds you that you are alive, adrenaline rushes etc..?

I have tried to just not cut, but I my biggest trigger is stress... in the past 2 weeks I had to have a friend die in a car accident and his little brother in ICU for almost a week straight, a local business blow up (school went into lock down, half my town was evacuated), a little girl get run over, my aunt die, my friends funeral which his lil bro that was with him in the crash couldn't get out of the hospital for, my aunt's funeral, and my alcoholic father come back to town. I am not trying to make you all feel sorry for me, but just trying to explain why i really fell the need to cut myself so badly.

I (personally) like to cut, it's my way of crying and feeling emotion besides saddness- that probly sounds crazy, I know.

take up a sport. You eventually get hurt in all sports if you really need to be hurt every once in a while.

Is it bad if you don't want to stop? I mean, I know I shouldn't do it but I don't see what's wrong if I'm not endangering myself and it's the only thing that calms me down.

Does anyone have any tips for hiding cuts? It's summer so when I wear a swimsuit or shorts you can see them on my legs. I did those over the winter - if I would have thought about it I would have done it somewhere else. But now I'm stuck with these obvious scars and need to find a way to cover them up. Especially this one I did that says AFI (my favorite band). If my parents saw that, they'd probably take away my CD's and blame it all on the music, but really I was just bored. PLEASE give me some ideas on how to cover these up! I'm desperate...

if you're a girl use bandaids and say you cut yourself shaving and just say when you go over the cut again you rip it open all over again.

I think I'd have to use the whole box of band-aids! My parents are already a little suspicious so they might find it odd that I have band-aids up and down my legs. Does anyone know if that scar healing treatment works? Or how long it'll take before you can't really see them anymore. I'm an idiot for doing it there in the first place... maybe I'll do some over the AFI one to cover it up. I dunno. I'm a moron.

Hey! I've actually done that before, only with hairbands instead because they have the little metal pieces and that stings more. But when I have to cut, I have to cut. Seeing the blood is part of it for me... and I almost like to have something permanent, BUT they need to be covered up so I can swim over summer. I was thinking maybe no one will notice, but they're kind of, um...obvious.

thats what i thought last summer b/c i didnt have too many in places where ppl would see them but my brother looked at my arm and asked what the scars were and i told him this bull shit story about a hang nail while i was sleeping and bla bla bla and he just got confused and gave up. and also on my leg, my calf to be specific, and my friend toni who knows that i cut saw them when i was wearing shorts and told me to put cover up on them b4 other ppl caught on

For the person that asked for ways to hide cuts... What I do is i put white out marks around the cuts so then I'll tan and you can't tell the difference. That's just what I do. When i cut i do more than one at a time, i mostly do one cut then end up diong more than i wanted to do.

I'm 14, Male, and I have a 3 year old neice, and whenever i see her i feel like...she's all that i have.
I think i have pretty good reasons to cut, but all the people that i tell, cut too so they don't really care.

does cutting hurt? i want to try it. will i get addicted.......and this one girl slit her wrist with a butcher knife from her wrist up to her armpit on both arms-MetalFan50
Can't really tell you if it hurts or not because some people cut just for the pain. me personaly i sorta like it and i like seeing the blood. and if u get addicted .. well it depends if u like it or not. But i wouldn't suggest it at all. It leads to scars which lead to questions from loved ones and family which leads to them getting hurt. and that just makes u get more depressed. it's just a rotating circle. if u haven't started then don't try it.

Do neither... I wouldn't suggest it but if it gets too bad then you can cut, to see what it's like but don't make a habit out of it.

^ That would be excellent advice if only cutting were that easy not to make a habit of.

there is no need to cut, cutting is dumb and a waste of time. Take life head on. Dont hide and cut, be smart.

Why start? sometimes u feel like its the only way out, its like a drug, it gets addicting, its hard to stop.
idk, i felt like it was a punishment, for just like, anything, now its a habit I know what you mean, sometimes I wish I could stop, but sometimes it feels like its the greatest thing... I get confused.
does cutting hurt? i want to try it. will i get addicted.......and this one girl slit her wrist with a butcher knife from her wrist up to her armpit on both arms I wouldnt reccomend it.. as a cutter, its not the best solution... think of things to do before you try it.
