View Full Version : Could I be pregnant?

I had sex with my bf and during it the condom slipped off... He hadn't cum yet, only pre cum but i think a bit of that may have gone inside me. We where standing up at the time so gravity was against it, but could i be pregnant? And if i could, how big are the chances?

it doesn't matter if you were standing up, all the semen (cum) has to do is touch your vagina and there's a chance it could make you pregnant. Precum still can make you pregnant, it's why it's advised not to use the pull out method (not that you did, but in general). If you're really worried you may be pregnant i advise you to get a pregnacy test, or go to the doctors.

You can get pregnant from precum like Siobhan said but the chances are probably not that high. Still a morning after pill would have been a good idea just for safety.

No, go and get the morning after pill right now, if you can. It's most effective if used within 12 hours of the contact.
I think they call it the morning after pill, because it might have been heat of the moment, late at night or whatever, then the morning after you realize the mistake and stuff. It's referred to as the Plan B pill as well.
Either way, go and get it as soon as possible.

Lovehatetragedy summed this up pretty well: there is a change you may become pregnant from pre cum. The position in which you're having sex doesn't contribute to the possibility of you becoming pregnant as gravity does not play a factor: the chances of you becoming pregnant standing up or laying down are the same. There is always that chance for a mistaken pregnancy. If you feel concerned, a pregnancy test may take care of your worries or a doctors visit if you feel necessary. The morning after pill IS used in situations like yours so it's completely up to you. It is best used as soon possible: the chances are in your favor more. It's not JUST the morning after pill: it's still effective up to 5 days after. I don't know how the UK works with you being only 15 and being able to get it if you don't want your parents to know. If you have more questions, feel free to PM me hun.

yeah it doesn't make any difference if you were standing up. There is a chance you could be pregnant, so you should probably get the morning after pill as soon as you can just to make sure.

I know i can get it, but i can't get it till early tomorrow morning which will be around 20 hours afterwards so it should still be pretty effective?

yeah, the morning after pill will still be effective. It actually stays pretty effective for 72 hours at least, but the longer you wait the less effective it is, so tomorrow morning sounds like the best you could do, and it seems like a very good idea :)

Yes, it should still be effective. It stays effective up to 120 hours at most but it all depends on the timing and you should be fine with taking it in the morning.

Oh, I thought you meant you were just waiting until tomorrow, I didn't realize that you couldn't get it until then, I'm sorry.
Yes, get it then. They will explain everything to you, and it's effective up to 72 hours after the sex, so you're within that window.

I know but i had the morning after pill 20 hours after, the time of the month it was was totally the wrong tiome, it was only pre cum that went inside me and it wasn't that much of that. So is only a small chance :)
