Wierd siblings

hi,
my little brother and sister act wierd with friends around.
so my brother always tries to be funny (he's 6) whenever me or my sister have friends over, but he always ends up being very stupid. it embarrases me.
then my sister (she's 10), is always very rude to me whenever she has friends over. on those times she acts as if i am her slave. she also says hurtful and embarrasing things which i try to deny, but are actually true.
what should i do? ive tried talking to her and my parents, but to no avail..

This is where after her/ his friends leave you sit down and have a heart to heart talk. Meaning that you need to have a serious talk with him/her explaining what they say that hurts you and embarrass you. Tell them it doesn't make them look cool and it makes you look bad so you would prefer if they talked to you with some respect that way that can you can respect them in return. It's like the "Treat people how you would like to be treated talk".

Although it sounds like they just want to show off to their friends because it's a "control" thing because they get to have "control" over someone older. Maybe try it that way because shouting and insulting them in return only makes them retaliate more. A heart to heart always worked with my little brother when he did things I didn't like. Your brother is just a little kid, that's how they are at that age.

Your sister is old enough to behave better, but its another form of showing off really. All you can do is just keep out of their way when she has friends around.

well, it's normal for boys that age to behave like that, so cut your brother a little bit of slack, i'm sure your friends know he's just a kid, and thats how kids act.

As for your sister, she's old enough now to know when she's being out of order, and if she only does it when her friends are around, she's probably showing off, trying to seem "cool" infront of her friends. Try to stay out of her way if her friends are round, but if she tries to boss you about, maybe just say "no" infront of her friends, and let her know that she can't do that, but don't be rude to her, otherwise she might retaliate. So maybe once her friends aren't there to save her the embarressment, just sit her down and tell her you don't like it when she does this, and maybe she'll listen to you...

A dead arm always sorts my younger brother out! Haha, but if you don't want to be violent, then maybe you should do it to thme back, and give them a taste of their own medicine, so they can understand how you feel. But for your younger brother, that kind of behaviour is very common of a lad his age.

I am the youngest child, but when my younger nieces and nephews are around they do the same thing. I think they are just trying to show off to their friends or yours. My suggestion is, to not have your friends over that much. :\

Lol whenever I am in the house of the girl I love, she is on a rampage lol. She doesn't lsiten to her mother usually and doesnt listen to her brother and her sister lol.

My little brother will do the same when my friends are in my house too. Mom just say that he is looking for attention. I just ignore it. Try the same if you can

I don't have any bro's or sisters but im gessing their just being kids and having fun and what little kind doesn't like attention, just ignore it :)

Your little brother is probably just trying to get attention from you. And if you laugh when he tries to be funny, or if someone does it, he probably keeps doing it because he thinks he's making you laugh.

And your little sister probably only does it because she thinks it's cool to do that. Her friends probably look up to her because she's 'mean to her older sister' and that makes people praise her.

My best friend has a brother like this, he's 11. I think they just try to show off or something. He doesn't do it to me though because he knows me pretty well.

A nice little chit chat would be the best thing to do; or while they are even doing it call them out of the room and tell them what they are doing wrong. They might not even realize what they are doing.
