So, my computer is completely garbage, and I've been laptop hunting for the past couple of days. I came across this laptop (http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=Everyday+computing&series_name=G62t_series&jumpid=in_R329_prodexp/hhoslp/psg/notebooks/Everyday_computing/G62t_series) I like HP, so that's why I chose this one, and because I know it can run Age of Empires III. Lol. But anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew of a one that's better than that one at a cheaper price or anything, or if this computer is actually as good as I think it is. Lol.

Oh, and if y'all are wondering how bad my computer is, I have 875 MB of HDD space left out of 31.6 gigs and 248 MB of RAM. Yeah, it's terrible. Lol. Six years old. :O

I wouldnt get a laptop if youre looking to game on it. My girlfriend has a laptop with decent specs and has fairly decent graphics but when it comes to playing the latest games it really does lack in comparison to a PC with a decent graphics card. It would play that game what you have fine, she has this one:

Im not much of a laptop fan myself nor know much about them really other than what I have experienced and noticed about other laptop users.

If youre getting one make sure to have at least 3gb RAM and either a Dual Core or Quad Core :)

Not a bad pick, but too heavy/bulky for my tastes. Choose a variant equiped with the ATI graphics chipset - Intel GMA is quite crappy.

I tend to agree with Black or White on this: unless you have needs for mobility, you'll get a much better desktop machine for the same price (and assembling it yourself will also leave a lot of upgrade possibilities later on).

Yeah, for $500 you could get a good laptop, but when it comes to gaming it won't be spectacular. The only way you can have seriously awesome gaming on a laptop is if you fork out over $1000 for a top-of-the-line gaming laptop with the new high-performance AMD laptop graphics cards.

go with Asus, best buy has them, youll pay a tad bit more, but it will last a lot longer and it will be more powerful.

If you really want something to brag, alienware's best for you. It'll cost you alot though, the price starts at 900 i think.

^ This. Or acer. Try to stay away from HP, they tend to go faulty quite easy, especially the wireless side of it.

The reason I want a laptop is because I'd like to be able to move around with it. I don't want a gaming computer because I only play RTSs, not high end FPSs. And I was looking at an Asus laptop, and I read some reviews of it and it was not too popular. Acer I couldn't find anything that was good, and I like HP, so that's why I was looking at HP laptops. My parents' have an HP desktop and it's very nice. The computer I'm using is HP and although it may be slow and not enough memory or anything, it isn't broken yet.
