if high school wasnt compulsory, we'd have all these ppl who cant be bothered and drift thru life like lumps of crap. people like that are just a waste of space and hold back the rest of society

Not just that but ...

If the government wants everyone to have an equal chance at life, regardless of how much cash they have, education should be compulsory to everyone, and privatised education should be scrapped.

That way, everyone is entitled to a chance to becoming a rocket scientist, and you can't complain because you come from 'a bad background' because you were given the same choices and chances as somoene from a richer background.

However that isn't reality. The truth is richer kids are more likely to become richer adults, kids that were well educated and socialised into a richer environment will want to keep that status.

Though, what about the kid whose family is so poor, that they can only afford a small amount of food, and they are starving. He or she is forced into the choice (internally) to drop out and get a job so he/she can help the family or start earning straight away.

I agree. It's always nature that takes over. It's an instinct for humans to have greed. Whether it's for power, food, or money they need to impower the opposition.

besides, when it comes down to it, you will always love your kids more than your neighbors', so youll always want them to be better, therefore it can be never equal

I am fascinated by russia. I love learning about its history. The idea of communism sounded great, and it faield so badly. Its nice to learn about stalin and the genocide and all the rest of it.

OT: Yes, high school should be compulsory, we just need to reform the education system to tailor to the needs of different demographics.

--

As far as political systems go, none of them completely work: capitalism, communism, socialism, feudalism, have all been failures and successes in different aspects. Nothing is perfect, so I don't see why we need to quarrel over who has the best one. They all work, and they all don't work.
