So, now that my desktop is finally up and running, I started an EVE Online account. I started this thread because I want to know who on here plays or has played EVE Online, and if so, what do you think of it.

EVE Online is one of the worlds largest MMORPGs. This (http://play.eveonline.com/en/home.aspx) is the introduction site. Make sure to watch the video on that page. Think Star Wars on steroids minus the lightsabers and droids, increase the amount of ship fights, and add the ability to mine.....in other words, it's amazingly epic. Yeah, it's WAY more complicated than WoW, but it can be a lot of fun, too. That and the server is fairly flawless, and it only costs $15 per month, compared to WoW's 40 or so.

Sounds like a nerd fest if it's more complicated than World of Warcraft...

Ehh, not really, it just takes getting into. Once you understand it, it's REALLY fun.

I must say that i play it and it is really fun. The HUD is pretty simple once you learn how to use it. The game is based off time though, so once you get a lot further down the road of skills, you'll be waiting 20+ days (like me) just to train for scout drones >.<
And there is a lot of EVE-related slang that we EVE nerds like to use. no one else knows what buying a CC is and then towing it into lowsec for resources.

hehe, I Know! EVE nerds unite. and yes, i know what that means. (for the non-EVE n00bs out there, that means buying a cargo container and towing it out to low security space where there are lots of bad guys, pirates, etc. to use it for storing stuff like minerals that you have mined there in low sec, so you can deposit it and have more time to warp away from the pirates.) How close is that, HillyBillyWilly? :P
