doctors appointment?

so, i made an appointment to see my GP next week, and now i'm panicking. i don't know why, i just am. i don't even know why i made the appointment, i was just thinking to myself that i needed help, and i didn't know anyone i could really go to to ask for it, and i just called them and made an appointment. this might seem seriously stupid, but should i go to the appointment or should i phone up again and cancel? i'm scared something might go wrong, like my dad might take the day off work the day of the appointment and i have to sneak out, or i was wrong about the law, and its not confidential if your under 16 and they have to tell my parents... i dont think that will happen, but i still dont know whether to go, should I?

sorry, a bit of a pointless post, I just dont know what to do.

I think you should keep the appoinment. Its a bold step and a good step to make, to admit to yourself that you need some help and to do something about it. I think it would be a mistake to turn back. So calm down, the doctor is there to help and will be on your side.

Keep the appointment,
as far as i'm aware, they only have to break confidentiality if your life is in danger.
but at the end of the day, you had the strength to call up for an appointment, you want to get better, so heres your big chance, surely its better to go for it now, then think in a few months when you might be feeling worse that you should've gone.
