There are two causes of wet dreams that I know of. First, a release of excess semen. Second, a wet dream caused by a dream about sex; when you are in the dream state of sleep, you generally have an erection and if you dream of sex you might have this type of wet dream. Also keep in mind, your first dreams usually have something to do with what you were thinking about before you go to sleep.
