I know a bit about blue screen, enough to understand that if you get it then the laptop is basically fucked. It seems fine for now though. So yeah, here's what happened.

I took the battery out early today so that I could just leave it plugged into the mains, I accidentally turned off the power and the laptop died instantly. When I restarted it, it seemed fine for about 30 seconds; then it died and I got blue screen with white text for like 5 seconds. When I restarted it again I got the little black line in the top left so I restarted it yet again and now it's fine.

What I was wondering is: What can I do, if anything, to stop this from fucking up my laptop? :(

Best strategy: start Windows in Safe Mode, then perform a detailed hard disk check (scandisk). If the system keeps failing, repair it by booting from your Windows installation disk.

If Windows now starts fine, your laptop wil quite likely not "fux up" by itself - it is probable that Windows restored some damaged files from one of its previous system backups.
