Hello all,

As some of you may know, I'm currently away from my home Spain for a couple of months and should be for another few months. I'm going out with this girl who lives in my town for over a year now. I only get to go home about once a month but I want to know something I can do for her to let her know that I still care for her !

Any suggestions?

Arrange for some flowers to be delivered to her, should be able to do that over the internet.

Send her a letter. Girls love to get letters in the mail. Send her flowers. When you see her take her to dinner be romantic give her a massage.

We chat everyday on Tuenti (like spanish facebook) and skype. I send her messages and emails. But I want something special that will really show her how much I truly miss her!

Text her every night, and don't forget to call too, even if there isn't a reason, just call/textt to say good morning and goodnight. I have a bunch of friends that are girls and they say they love good morning texts.

Also, right when your eyes meet you can give her a big kiss immediately and tell her how much you've missed her. Just try to give her a hint you're always thinking about her.

like he said, say goodmorning and good night every day... and just check in once a day to see how she is

To be honest, you don't need to buy her stuff to show her you still care for her. Phone her once or twice every day, text a few times to tell her you're thinking of her and ask her how she is. Write her letters, poems, at random times she's least expecting. Although gifts are nice the simple and close to home things show more than gifts could :)

I agree, you can do those things but also asking her how she is daily shows her that you care even though you are separated. I think you could send her a homemade card with a poem or a pretty picture.

Even if you want to get a gift, it doesn't have to be super expensive at all! If you're walking by the grocery store and you see her favorite candy, grab some. Make her a care package, that would super awesome. Put in her favorite candy or something, a nice note, maybe a hat or tee shirt that smells like you (I know I'm a big smell person, I like to remember scents of people I'm with) a picture, or several of stuff you have been doing lately.

And when you're not sending her something, just talk as much as you can! My boyfriend and I aren't long distance, but we text a lot, and not even conversations. I was walking through a store yesterday, saw something that reminded me of one of our dates, and texted him to tell him, and he does the same all the time.

Really talk to her, learn stuff about her that you didn't know before.

.

Wow, I never knew of this thing of a "care package". I am doing it now - maybe one of my dancing shirts and some things from Ireland.

Thank you much for all the suggestions. I have been texting her everything I think of her too!

I don't know if you would exactly call it a care package, but that name suits it well enough. Your ideas sound great! Keep going! And she will probably return the favor and send you one, which I'm sure will keep you happy too!

Do you both have webcams? My sister lives in NY, and her boyfriend lives in AZ part time when he's not at school, and they keep in touch with webcam chats. They have lots of fun just talking, and it's better than being on the phone because you see the person in real time. :)

Simple, girls don't life love-sick puppies or saps. Send her a periodic note with pics of where you are, with lots of jokes and show her you've got a life (and having fun - give her something to talk about and to show her friends) and that you're including her in your world - believe me, she'll feel like she belongs in your world.

If you are in a city in another country, find a post card with a picture of something romantic, or something that makes you think of her, and on the back right a love letter telling her about how much you think of her, and how much you miss her, if that is your style. Girls melt over that kind of stuff. :P

I hope I helped. :D
