I think when you get a visitor message you should be alerted as if you got a pm. Because most people dont know when they get one, there for it take people very long to respond. This could also make contact with people under 100 post better :D

How hard is it to notice the little icon on the top of the screen every time you change pages? I even turned off the PM pop-ups.

However, it is a good point. They're there for PM's, so why not VM's? And you could probably enable/disable receiving pop-ups in the UserCP just like with PM's. Interesting thought.

you mean so it pops up on the screen saying "you have a new vm" like it does with the pm's? i think that it's a good idea, but because of the alert that does happen (in the top right corner) when it comes up with a 1 or whatever, i don't think that it's really needed.

I don't think this is necessary because all you have to do is look at the big bold number at the top right of your screen.
It tells you everything important that you should look at...just as if it were like Facebook or Myspace.

It's fairly easy to glance at the top of your screen to see if you've got one.

Wonder.

It also says it in your User CP. It's there for PMs so why not VMs? Some people will find it useful and some won't just like the PM alerts/warnings/pop-ups.

I don't think it's that much of an issue..
