So I decided to join a gym. Yes, haha, I know the thought of someone as lazy as myself joining a gym sounds very funny. But seriously...

I got measured there, and this is what my measurements are:
33.5 - 25.5 - 35

I don't know whether that's good, or bad. I know I'm far too fat anyways.

Be completely honest, do those measurements sound okay? If you were my gym instructor or whatever, what would you think of that? I'm kinda worried I have a LONG way to go until I don't look like some pig anymore.

Actually, those are pretty amazing Marcie. I'm pretty sure you want your first and your last right around the same measurement, and your waist thinner. That gives you the hourglass shape that most women are always looking to get.

You're not fat AT ALL, seriously. You're gorgeous!:D

25?!
How tall are you?
At my thinnest my waist was ~27in and EVERYONE was commenting on how 'thin' i was. Hindsight being 20/20 i was wearing clothing you'd put on a normal 10 y/o at 13 and it was baggy; you could see most of my bones.
i bet you your hips are mostly bone. that won't change no matter how much weight you loose (trust me -.- if there was a way i'd be doing it for other reasons)

There's a very fine line between going to a gym to stay healthy, and going to become very unhealthy.

You are not a 'fat pig'.
id be wary of being your gym instructor if i had seen your attitude towards food/weight.

Stop being so beautiful Marcie. That is thin and perfect for someone your size.

Those are great. Especially with your height.

Most girls there would love to have those measurements. You're beautiful, Marcie.

And don't you forget it.

You're all too nice to me. Seriously. :P
But thank you very much.

That's put my mind at ease a bit, because I just wasn't sure if these were good, average or rubbish measurements a person should have.

Kyle, if only I knew when to just stop. It's a constant downwards spiral, which I'm sure you understand about. :S

Yes, i do. Thats why i'm pointing it out because i also know it's a bitch to see for yourself even if you can see it on other people who are doing the EXACT same things you are.
(um.. ignore what that's implying kthx im still eating for the most part)

Most trainers, i'd hope, are able to tell the difference between wanting to be in shape and an eating disorder tho. Hopefully.
And you got friends who care about ya and can help bring you back to earth

Something tells me that they probably don't, especially with the amount of young girls I see in the gym going absolutely crazy on treadmills (man, I don't think I have the slightest stamina or energy for that). The gym instructors where I am don't seem to be very smart with anything like that.

do fitness instructors generally not all have to have some sort of qualification from tech, to be writing out personal fitness plans. I go to a very small "average joes" gym and even their the two girls that do your plan have university degrees (plus the tech thing) and they're only about mid 20's.

Yes, but chances are they probably don't have a degree in psychology or have any experience with mental health related issues. They have qualifications in sports & fitness instead.

EDIT: The other day, my gym instructor actually asked me why I wanted to come gym, and I said I wanted to lose as much weight as possible, and then he said that's fine and we'll find ways to achieve a big weight loss. Lmao, I hope he doesn't think I should lose at least 40 lbs or something.

*DOUBLE POST OH NOEZ*

I've lost half an inch from my waist since last week. Hopefully the next few inches will come off just as quickly.

Measurements have changed: 33.5 - 25 - 35

Meh. Still not liking the numbers.

are those in inches??? sorry but i use the international system lol

Everyone has a different diet that should follow so i would recommend to see a nutritionist to see what diet is better for you. Then diet along the exercise.. Food and fitness along with reading and helping others is the perfect combination for having a healthy life :)

Dont forget everybody has a different trainning according to our own level and requirements. So i would pay attention to the specific requiremnts you need at the gym.
