Ugh, it's been awhile since i've had one. It's in a bad place under my upper lip and very small.
There is no way this is a 'bit your lip' thing either, unless my teeth move in a way contrary to nature :P

How are you supposed to treat these again?

If I remember right from work, you need to use some sort of anti-viral cream. You can get them over the counter. I think one Denavor or similar is a good one. I used it once. There are several other topical ones you can get.

On a more serious note, use Hydrocrotisone, (however you spell it.)
Or wait... are you talking about canker sores? Those little white spots that you get on your gum sometimes? Kay, if that's the case, then rinse your mouth with salt water, and brush your teeth :)

@airbus, according to google that's by perscritpion, which i defianately don't need for something that pops up every few years.

@chai, its not on my gum for sure. like that inside part of your lip. you can get cold sores on the inside of your cheek too btw.

and isn't that stuff usually used for poison ivy/other itchy stuff and has huge FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY on it?

OK. That's what I thought. So, like I said... rinse out your mouth with warm salt water, and avoid touching it.
