Notifications for quotes

would it be possible to get a notification when our posts are quoted so that we know when someones actually replied to us rather than reading through the whole thread
so what do you guys think and is it doable?

That sounds like a good idea. It is just like on Facebook where you get notified when you are tagged in an album or comment on a status.

It's a good idea except if you made a thread and someone quoted the original post you would get and email that you were quoted AND someone replied. A double email. And people quote in parts so if they split it up would you get more than one email?

thats why you dont get the email notification
just like those you get for vms or pms
and it would only do it one per post

I dont see a lot of need for it to be honest. I check up on subscribed threads under User CP and that does it for me. But I guess if can be done easily enough....

I know that, but maybe some people dont make use of all of the existing facilities.

I think its a good idea, i always forget where to check and usually can't find it.
Although lengthy messages would be annoying, just little notes in the head bar
