that's what my mom says. journals are "bad". She has something against me keeping a journal.

There's nothing bad about it. It's actually a productive way of letting out inner feelings. If you want to keep one, then keep one. But don't say it's a journal per se. Make an excuse, like saying it's notes for school work or something along those lines.

Just have one if you want. You could even keep an online one, if you Google it then you'll probably find lots of good journal sites. There is nothing wrong with keeping one. Just don't let your mum see. Get one of those ones with the key and the lock if you want to keep it safe, but on the front and stuff make it look like a homework timetable or something like that. Hang on, doesn't VT have a journal kind of thing? Try using that.

she already knows it's a journal, but fortunately it's more of a website and I can create pages...so I can use that...thanks for the help guys

Without sounding offensive, your mum is a control freak and I would go as far as saying she is a bad parent, although naturally you will disagree
