Why do some girls like to date guy's years older than them

I've always wondered why mostly at thirteen or fourteen some girls like to date boys in there twenty's.

I am not saying all girls do that but it happens often enough I just wanted to ask why.

The reason I am asking is one of my friends is fourteen and she is dating a guy who is twenty. She constantly says that He loves her and yada yada but i don't really believe him, in truth he sounds like an ass

anyway my point is why do some women do that.

That's really crazy, not to mention illegal.

The girls that want to date someone much older probably want someone more mature than guys around their own age.

I think its mostly a maturity thing, really.
Younger guys or guys the same age as us can look really immature in our eyes, but yanno.. not the same for every girl. :)

Yes, it is the maturity thing. The same way that a lot of guys like to date younger girls. Its all a bit stupid really.

Not all guys are less mature than girls their age, but I will admit a lot of guys are. Definatly not all though.

I think your example of the 14/20 age difference is a bit extreme though, and not very common.

As far as I know it is mainly the maturity thing, and also the fact that most older kids have cars/jobs and what not. I'm dating a girl that's a few years younger than me. I don't see anything wrong with it.
