I sucked at drawing, but then realized that dedicating myself to becoming better instead of whining and moaning about how it's so hard is infinitely more rewarding. If you make no effort to improve as an artist, you shouldn't complain about being a poor artist, as you are entirely to blame.

I can't say I suck but I'm not happy with my skill level and most of my drawings.

I suck at anatomy. I need to practice a lot. I can make ergonomic complexes, industrial compounds, sky scrapers, but I can't do anatomy for shit. I know the "why", because there are a lot of curves and what not, this troubles me. Worry not, there are 45 days left!

I have a very unsteady hand, i can't draw straight lines (unless i have a straitedge, obviously. which is why my isometric drawings are pretty decent :P).
I can however judge distance reasonably well on paper.
with more practice (and a better color pallet. 24 colored pencils doesn't give a lot and it's hard to shade them) i could probably be decent, but its not a huge priority.

It took me about a year of non stop drawing to get good enough that people didn't spontaneously vomit when they see it.
i'm still have a ways to go but i'm... happy with it now
Seriously practice practice and all that jazz

Nobody can do a perfect straight line. If you practice 5 minutes each day making straight lines, you will get it eventually.
If you can judge the proportion well, then that's a good asset you got there.
I prefer using a printer, and up my pictures on the computer and burn the hell out of my PCs and RAM with a monster called Photoshop.
Pencil color can go only so far, but with Digital coloring the possibilities are endless. I would understand if you don't have PS.

at home i have NO editing sotware other than MS Paint.. which is shit to put it nicely.
i edit more photos on PHOTOBUCKET, and you can't create things on that any better than you can on paint anyway. =\
