Ok, where do I begin....

My love life has been rather, down lately. I tried dating someone after Noor, she was crazy. I tried doing the long distance thing, I couldn't stand the distance. I found someone who I thought I'd love, she passed away. Now is different however.

So, all summer I've been participating in a lacrosse team (All American) and the Elite Bay Gulls. 2 Weeks ago, we had a game at Harvard Stadium. For those who watched the world cup, you know that at the beginning of the games, there were kids that accompanied the players. Well, our team did that, will up and coming lacrosse stars boy or girl. They matched the players with kid's that live in close relativity to us.

Going back a little, I was told I would be accompanied by a girl. Her name was Paige. I was told she was one of the best girl's players in the state. So naturally I was a little excited.

So as I was doing my pre-game rituals, I was approached by small girl with curly blonde hair and the brightest blue eyes, I have ever seen. My first thought was, she was with someone else. I was wrong though, since she was wearing a Beverly (My home town's) jersey.

What was odd though was, I had seen her before. At my regular season games. She was very shy at first, I'd smile at her and she'd look away or blush. When it was finally time to walk out on the field though, she got excited and starting talking to me more, almost cheering me on.

So after our game, I got changed and was going towards my car. Most of the people who came to watch had left and so had the other team. I was driving towards the exit and I saw Paige on the phone crying. I thought she got hurt, because she was next to a cop.

I pulled over, and asked her what was going on. She quickly wiped away her tears and told me that her parents were not going to be able to pick her up. I told her to get in and I drove her home. On the way home, I finally got around to asking her. How old she was. She told me she was going into her freshman year.

Getting to the good stuff....

So she gave me her number and vice versa. Well about a week ago she texted me and asked if I wanted to come to a party. I asked who would be there, and she told me a list of names. To my suprise she hangs out with a few kids that I player with in Lacrosse and liked.

So I went, we had fun we swam, we ate good food and we listened to good music. As the night went on, everyone left and it was just her and I watching a movie. She was telling me that she went to all the games during my season and was even there when we had our heartbreaking loss in the state tournement. It got quiet for awhile and I told her I had to be home. She grabbed my arm and told me that she has had a crush on me for along time. I said that it was sweet, but she suprised me and got on my lap and kissed me.

Its been a week and we've been hanging out like everyday. We haven't had sex. We've kissed and made out. Just yesterday though she told me she wanted to ask me out, but she needed to find the perfect time.

Am I wrong to want to/or date a girl who is going to be a freshman when I will be a senior?

That does seem like quite the age difference. And it would become more awkward once you turn 18. If you really like her, and she likes you, then what is wrong?

I do really like her, and I know she feels the same way for me. It just might be an issue with my father and her parents.

Well I dont understand the whole American school system so I dont know how old she is but I noticed that your are 17. How old is she ? If its not too much of an age gap then I say you should go for it.

Well that is only like 3 years of a difference, I dont think there is anything wrong with it, if you like her and she likes you then why not man ?

I truly believe that if two people really like each other and know that their feelings are for real... then they can be in a relationship no matter what the age or circumstances. If you two feel something in a relationship then that is what you should pursue because it will be the best in the end. If you do end up going out with her... I hope you good luck with her parents and family!!
