Well, I wont really explain the Nightmare, but I had one thing happen to me. When I woke up, I saw this womans face, the one that was in my nightmare, it was just her face. Then when I blinked again, she was gone. Does ANYONE know what may have contributed to this?

Most nightmares are usually caused by an increase of stress in your daily life at time. Can you think of anything that has increased that lately? Try having a warm shower before bed and just relaxing a little bit, the less tense you are when you go to sleep the less likely you are to have a nightmare. I should mention though this doesn't mean you'll never have one, you can't really control what type of dreams you have when you sleep, it'll just minimise the chance of it a fair bit.

Well Aaron, the problem is, I do take a shower about 30 minutes before I sleep, And maybe because I started working about a week ago, but this face that I saw when I woke up, I dont think there is any explanation whatsoever, unless you know?

Not really, i reckon its just one of those creepy one off nightmares you get. I know i've had them a fewtimes, usually when im under quite a lot of stress. Just try to keep calm before going to bed, if you already shower try doing something you know will relax you

You were scared from the nightmare you had, so that could explain why you saw the face when you had just gotten up, the nightmare was still fresh on your head.

As Kaius said, just try to go to bed with a calmed mind and it should help avoid nightmares.

Like said above...but as for the face:

you know how if you look at something for a really long time then look away suddenly? But you still see the same thing? That would be the face. I find a cup of tea and a good book or movie to be very refreshing. Hope you can get well?better? Idk what I should say for that haha...

It could just be a nightmare. Sometimes, when one awakens & sees (or thinks they see) someone/something from their dream, it can be caused by a R.E.M. Sleep Disorder. If this is a one time thing I wouldn't be too worried about it. If it happens again, maybe you should consider talking to your doctor.

Best of luck!

waking up and seeing faces is a condition called hypnagogia. it is the state of mind where you are physically awake but your mind is still in a sleep state. basically you are awake and asleep at the same time. and this causes you to see things when you wake up..

here is a link of the site.

That has happened to me before, but I was parilized and the thing form my nightmare was coming at me. I would not worry about it though as the other people have said before it might have been stress. Or your eyes are playing trick on you.
