Maturity-wise, Jak and Kingdom Hearts aren't really comparable. Also, try out Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Pretty neat artsy stuff. Also, look for Beyond Good and Evil. It's absolutely amazing and I guarantee you that it'll cost you $20 or less in a bargain bin. Such a great gem.

I disagree with your game choices but I agree with your logic. You should get your moneys worth in games. So getting an over 90+ hour of entertainment RPG game is a good idea. Either that or a game with unlockables so you can spend countless time on it. Replay value is a key essential when choosing a game.

(part 2).Hack//Rebirth, Reminiscence, Redemption. You play as Haseo

Both games are simulating an MMORPG, where you are a Hacker in both cases. In the first Part, you will be looking for a cure, in the second you will be in a quest of searching, vendetta and more absurdities.

You will love this game if you are fan of MMORPG, because this game simulates MMOs. Also, if you are an Anim+Game Otaku. Yes, an action RPG

Dark Cloud+ 2(aka Dark Chronicles): You will love this series if you are a fan of Action(platform?) RPG. The first of the series does not harbour voice acting, but that doesn't drop down the quality of the game.

You will know this game will if you played Terranigma and Soul Blazer back in the SNES.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King:
Highly Highly Highly recommended. If you ever played RPG this is the game you want to spend the summer with.

It is the resurrection of the Original game Dragon Warrior(back then, it was Dragon Quest in Japanese).

It is the return of the all time Classic Turn Based RPG battle system.

If anyone passed the year 2006, and consider themselves as avid and real RPG Fan, having PS2, and have not yet bought this game, then they are all Mo Fo Frichken, douche baggies, Son of a(continues cussing... for over 2 minutes...)


Final Fantasy XII::

You want to play this newly renovated game. It is with its unique and unorthodox battle system. It is the deviation of the Series. Recommended.

Grandia II - III - Extreme:

Highly recommended if you want to play the game which was regarded to have the best Battle System.

Mana Khemia Alchemists of Al-Revis - 2(Fall of Alchemy): Talks about fantasy and alchemy. Same recommendation. With Unique gameplay and progression.

Recommended for Anime+Game Otakus.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3: A game recommend for those who loves Japanese High School settings, and want to know what's going on with the lives of those students. Then this is a must have game.

Romancing Saga: A return of a classic. Recommended if you are familiar with it.

Shining Force: Neo/Exa: I am not sure of Exa, but a friend recommend it to me.

I played Neo, all I can tell is that this game is like any Action RPG. You want it? Buy it.

Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time:

This is highlyx10^10 recommended. A very good Action RPG. Excellent game. This is Tom Cruise of RPGs. Very good game. Everything in it is good, except that goofy 3D characters that wanted to emulate Anime characters. A good choice if you want it. Really recommend it.

Suikoden III - IV - V:

This set are a classic RPG, all together the sequel and prequel of the original I and II games.

Highly recommended if you are fan of the series only.

Tales Series:

Every dedicated RPG fan at least tried to hold a section of this series. Even going illegal and downloading Roms and Iso of this series.

Yes, it is worth the risk. A very good series.

Wild Arms Series: I don't know much about this game. But, it is renowned RPG.

Gran Turismo 4:

This game.... the most realistic racing simulation game... you want it? Why not.

Half-Life: Alien Filled world. Be proud in the name of Science, Gordon.

Ico: Action RPG. But more or less an Action Adventure. You want to play this before Shadow of Shadow of the Colossus.

I think it's safe to say that I love you for this post. Those are a few of the best games I've ever played. I always think back of those times where I was playing Ratchet and Clank, and just enjoying every minute of all of the upgrades you could get and stuff. Ugh, I might have to go and find my ps2 and games now. Also, for times where you just want to have some fun, try Spyro, and Krawk. I'd be surprised if Krawk was even sold anywhere anymore. I think those two games might even be ps1.

Anyways another great game to get is Oni. It's a third person anime shooter game where your some chick that shoots things. I don't remember much of it anymore though. Dang those were the good old days.

You should probably get the first Jak and Daxter game too, because the story was just fun.
