so befor i start this is pure theroy. im just thinking about it now that my brains on the subject. i have no proof other than my word so consider this a self diagnosis. so if you think i dont than say so. also my spelling is bad so try to cope.

im fifteen and was never tested for disability as a baby(my towns a little weird so i fit in)
so in school we had a asembly about mental ilnes and it was interesting so i reserced later at home. i looked at the symptoms and well....
i walk tip toe(i can walk normal but i perfere tip toe if i have a choice)
iv alwayes liked thing in order rather than in random.
when i find something of intrest i alwayse keep constant intrest untill i run that intrest dry.
im into other thing than other kids and i mean differnt. like polar oposits.
im anti social(if i can be alone or work alone i will)
i have my little group of freind and i never diviate from them)
iv been tested for a lerning disability in school and i was diagnosed with a non verbal lerning disility and thats as far as testing whent(i cant wright or vebaly express well or do advance math).

so i dont know but if i was autistic it would explain alot in my life.

We can't diagnose you. If you feel like you have Autism you should see a professional.

If you are autistic, I would have thought that people would have become aware of it a long time ago given your age of fifteen. But, that doesn't mean you're not, it just means that I find it unlikely.

It can go unnoticed if it's a mild form.

that could be a good thing. check out my thread about aspergers, maybe that's what you have!

If it is Aspergers, it can go unnoticed. There are cases where people are diagnosed in their adult life.
However, there are also cases of Autism being unnoticed & not being diagnosed until later on in life as well.

I do nearly all the same things that you do. I find it quite frightening if I have autism.

i dont know im just thinking now isnt the best time to metion it and get tested. maby when i get older because i have dental needs and my mother has sleeping meds,(<not conected>) my parents devorced so money wise my family dosnt have the funds to go through testing and such. plus its just another thing my mom needs to worry about. so yeah i think its best i keep this in my back pocket for a while. i was just hoping you guy could give my a little backing befor i go talking about this.

besides if i do have autism i lived with it for 15 years so i think ile manage:yes:

I have Asperger's, and I was diagnosed when I was 15. I also have clinical depression, anxiety, and ADHD. It's not hard to be misdiagnosed or diagnosed late, especially if it's AS. Or in my case, because I'm a girl, I was just viewed as weird. Now people, like the staff at the treatment centre I live in, understand that my obsessions, routines, poor motor skills, hand flapping and rocking, and poor social skills and facial expressions are all because I'm autistic and not just weird. We have things like reward charts for when I socialize with others, break a routine, have a conversation, etc. Or behavioural analysis and repairs for when I hit someone or myself. So it really is quite managable. I also have an awesome doctor, who explains AS like this - It's a condition that makes you view everyone else's world differently, and keeps you in a world of your own where you are more comfortable.
