I've personally never listened to music when I masturbate, unless it's the terrible music that comes from porn videos. I've certainly heard of people listening to music when they're having sex, though, and it somewhat increases the mood. Ultimately it's whatever you feel would be most arousing. For some, it's metal, because the music is so intense, they get that much more into it. For others, it could be something softer, because they like some sort of romance when they masturbate. Up to you!
