Hey guys...I may have to get my tonsils taken out and I'm really nervous about it.

What happens once you get to the hospital and how bad will it hurt and for how long etc?

It doesn't really hurt till afterwards, but even then it's not that bad. I woke up with a needle stuck through my hand, not sure why but it was doing something for my food and drink, like I said not totally sure. Still have the Mark on my right hand. You'll be eating ice cream for a few days, and probably wise to sleep as well. Otherthenthat, it's really nothing to worry about, it doesn't take long either :)

I think so, I'm not quite sure of the procedure right now, because I got mine like 7 years ago. I think wikipedia, or google will find your answer this time

i had to wait awhile like an hour before the surgery started then sleeping and you wont feel a thing till after you wake up. when you wake up you might be groggy, and like siobhan said you might wake up with an iv in your hand or arm i dont remember which, but other than that lots of ice cream but a terribly long sore throat... and sleep helps too, hope it helps good luck...
