I had a dream last night
You held me close and
Whispered, “everything’s alright.”
As I laid against your chest
You smiled when I
Said, “you’re the best.”
But it was just a dream...

I dreamt that you and I
Were holding hands and
As you looked into my
Eyes, sang a sweet melody.
Tears ran down my face
And sobs enveloped me
But it was just a dream...

In my dream I saw your
Hand sink below the deep
Blue sea. Had it not been for
The echoing scream I heard
I would not have noticed,
I was too busy feeding the birds.
I wish it had been just a dream...


Don't ask what this means because I don't know.
