Well, I knew it would come around when I really need advice, my brother is 10 years old with mild autism. I think im really starting to get nasty to him, mostly because he doesnt really understand what im saying or talking about. Lately, my parents have told me to be nicer. But my question is, how should I cope with something as severe as this?

There are a lot of things you can do in regards to that, but the main thing is to remember that its just as hard for him as it is for you. When he doesn't understand something, go through it slowly with him in a way you know he'd be able to understand. I'm not sure what type of autism he has, but try not to use long complicated words to explain things because he's not going to comprehend it. With Aspergers (Type of Autism i have) I find having people getting angry with me doesn't help in the slightest, and actually makes me less willing to understand what they're trying to say to me, so try to be as patient as possible with him, especially as he's only 10 years old. Above all try to spend some extra time with your brother, try to get down onto his level a bit more. Not only will he appreciate it, but it'll help you understand a bit more about him and how to help him. If you need any more help don't hesitate to contact me, i'm always around to help :)
