Inception is already on universal acclaim on metacritic (http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/inception) and Rotten Tomatoes. (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/inception/) I plan to see it on midnight showing. Finally, there is something that is original in Hollywood cinema. It hasn't felt like that for ages.

Anyone else wanting to see this?

Yeah, i saw it advertised when i was dragged to see Eclipse last week. Im gonna go see it when it comes out for the same reason really, the originality.

I have seen a few previews on TV. It looks pretty good actually. I plan on seeing it. It looks like it has some action to it. Like said above Leonardo De'Caprio did have a lot more of a push for me to see it as well.

Was a good movie. First original movie I've seen in a while that was actually good. The last thirty seconds might surprise a bunch of people.

One review that I liked for it that summarizes what I thought is this one from the hollywood reporter:

"In a summer of remakes, reboots and sequels comes Inception, easily the most original movie idea in ages."

The story line in the movie might be complicated for many, so don't take any dumb people to see it with you.

EDIT: If anyone didn't understand the ending, VM or PM me and I'll explain it.

Double Edit: The soundtrack is pretty good for the movie also. Click me for example (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xeHiTmx5AU)

Watched it last night. It was mind blowing, it kept me thinking over and over the concept for over on end, I even went to sleep and found myself going into a second level of dreaming. Pretty crazy, loved it. Gotta see it again, understand the loopholes, and if I missed anything.

This movie blew my mind. I loved every minute of it and it was refreshing to see a movie that wasnt in 3D this year. Christopher Nolan directed a hit with a wonderful music score (created by Hans Zimmer) to go along with the most original movie of 2010.

So I just saw it and wow...
my mind is totally boggled.
I didn't understand why in the world they were doing what they were doing, probably the only thing I didn't understand but I think it was a cool movie and I will need to get the DVD so I can watch it again and pay more attention lol

They were doing what they were doing because the main guy wanted his freedom, so by helping the asian guy out with taking out the rival company, he would make sure the lead guy got his life back, and saw his children again... geddit?

I was talking to my boyfriend after the movie ended, and yes I did noticed they put very little into the ACTUAL storyline, of WHY he was doing what he did... It was all more about the doing than the why.

Saw it and must say it was an amazing movie. The last ten minutes were really good. Do not bring people with the attention span of a pea. Having to answer questions every two minutes was annoying as hell. One of the best movies I have seen in a while.

Saw it, and it wasn't as good as they advertised it. It needed more action

End explanation. Don't read unless you've seen movie:

Notice he was wearing his wedding ring while dreaming and not when he is in real life. He isn't wearing his ring at the end. So yes, that also implies at the end of the movie that the totem stops spinning. Plus it was wiggling kind of.

I saw it yesterday, and thought to myself: Why couldn't they have explained how they actually get into eachothers dreams? Correct me if I'm wrong, but they never really showed off the system they used to perform the inception.

This reminded me a little bit of Shutter Island, not because of Leo but just the psychological aspect (which we hardly ever see in movies) was what reminded me of it. This movie made dreams a lot more fascinating.

AllThatIsLeft

I totally agree about that it reminded you on Shutter Island, same type of psychology, same mind game played upon the audience.

and I highly doubt anyone has a clue on how that kind of system works, though some bullshitting would of been nice as an explication,

Yeah, exactly. All we know is that there is some briefcase with a thingy in the middle with wires coming out of it that goes into the person's bloodstream. Makes very little sense to me how the circulatory system is related to dreams but whatever. Your right, bullshitting sometimes can be the way to go. Transformers anyone?

I'm in rage right now if you're comparing transformers to inception. Let's get this straight.

All because they didn't explain the briefcase and how it works doesn't mean it has zero plot. The story was quite amazing and it wasn't a remake, sequel, or anything like that. Inception was an original plot with a smart idea.

TRANSFORMERS is a bag of shit movie with explosions, fake excuse for a plot, and some random girl with boobs running around to get thirteen year olds to give the makers of this movie money.

There's a big difference.

Wasnt the tubey briefcase just for controlling the supply of sleeping drugs into the bloodstream?

I was told it wasn't worth watching, by two different people. It sounds interesting, but I think I'll wait until it's on On-Demand. If I don't like it, I only spent $5 and can watch something else. :P

Saw it last week. It was really good, but I thought it was missing something. It was entertaining to see, but as a viewer I go to movies to feel emotion.. I didn't get many deep emotions from it. It was very well done though.

AllThatIsLeft

It's not really an emotion movie though, it's a thinking movie...

your wheels must be turning the entire time to keep up with the plot. It is not meant to make you feel anything.

I think any movie is meant to stir up emotion within you. If the movie was all about thought then it wouldn't have included Leo's whole wife and family scenario, or not as much at least.
