i listen to both but some rock is a bit depressing but perfect for lonely days and some rap is degrading but is just funny to me... im gonna go with rock but i like death/metal more rock because it appeals more to all feelings... but if you wanna listen to rap that appeals to your feelings i suggest kid cudi its actually for stoners but it appeals and feels good without drugs!!!!! :P

I really strongly dislike rap and mainstream period. I'm all 80's. I prefer to listen to classics whether it's older rock or pop then. I just hate everything not.

Rap... to me the lyrics are better and there's sooo many different types of rap/hip-hop that there's always some for whatever mood im in. Rock is good, but it seems like rap is something that i never get tired of listening to.

They're equally good in my eyes, though I've found a greater number of rock bands I enjoy than rap artists/groups. I think rock fans are more pretentious, though, and rap fans are more obnoxious.
