364 days, since I last saw your face
I've had to endure this pain
For almost a whole year in vain,
Don't say it's not my case
To make, the court will say
That you're arraigned for leaving me
And breaking everything.
You shattered what mattered
The heart was made of glass,
You threw it to to the ground,
Then left your jaded past
For a future you'd not found.
And don't you know that it's dangerous
Being gone for so long from those whom you love
Because if you want to remain in their arms
You can't leave them empty for so long,
You leave me broken, we haven't spoken in too long.
You shattered what mattered
The heart was made of glass,
You threw it to to the ground,
Then left your jaded past
For a future you'd not found.
364 days and I'm slowly losing my brain,
It's like my whole frontal lobe was removed
And quickly replaced, our memories
Faded photographs slowly rotting away,
I don't blame you but I can't start blaming myself.
Is it anyone's fault that this world put you through such hell?
You shattered what mattered
The heart was made of glass,
You threw it to to the ground,
Then left your jaded past
For a future you'd not found.
I know the accident was an accident
No malicious intent, no desire to break
What you'd bent, but you made it go that far
And I can't understand, why are you leaving
When everything you need is right here,
You leave me bleeding, you leave me crying a million tears.
You shattered what mattered
The heart was made of glass,
You threw it to to the ground,
Then left your jaded past
For a future you'd not found.
364 days and I just can't handle this pain,
Now I will find you but if I don't I might as well leave
And find my own way to the ending that we deceive,
Where I'll stop pretending and maybe finally find the real me,
But without you I don't know that I can be who I am
You're the one who always seemed to damn understand,
And now you're gone and I've got nothing but my own hands
And they have nothing to grasp because the glass heart's
Fallen and broke into a million pieces that I don't think
Will ever, for the life of me, be picked up.
