Why is it that whenever I copy and paste a link into my IE 8 browser, it crashes the browser? I use a Vista by the way, if it makes a difference.

Just download firefox. its free. i like it much better than IE, although it may have some security problems, but i've never encountered any.

That wasn`t my question. I asked why it does that. I obviously know that I can switch browsers.

Well, my computer is slower than a turtle in NASCAR, so, maybe. I did already switch to Safari, and it works great. It could be better if my computer was faster.

This is because Microsoft screwed up the script for IE8 so that it doesn't allow copy and pasting all the time - me personally, i never liked IE anyways.

It happens because A) Something went wrong with the source code when it installed or code capability issues with your system or B) Microsoft hasn't worked out the bugs

or C) Microsoft didn't know what they was doing anyway.

Try updating the IE with Windows Update, and as you say your computer is really slow i would recommend you Firefox or Chrome

I am fucking sick of updates. My computer does nothing but download updates every day.
