Please someone help me fix my PC mic :/

It's a brand new headset, and when I plug it in and chat on ventrilo everyone says it makes this high pitched screeching noise, so I went into setup and tested it and they were right, and idk how to fix it.

I went into the recording device thing and lowered the amplification to see if that would work, but it did not.

I have no idea, please if someone could help or wants to take a look at it, I have Team Viewer so reply here and I'll respond.

Please someone, I NEEEEED to fix this! everyone says it hurts their ears like hell, and I can't talk until I fix it...

Also, It's not a problem with the mic itself, I took it to geek squad and they said that it was most likely my computer because it worked fine for them.

Don't bump your own threads. It's very sad.

1. Google your problem.
2. Get a new headset, if it's new you should be able to get a new one. (Depends on the shop)
3. Have you got the right drivers installed? It could just be the program your using it on. Try skype or something and see if it works on there.
4. Make sure it's plugged in right.
5. Restart windows while it's plugged in.
6. Reinstall windows :P (That's a joke)
