I shaved my pubes. At first it was fine. Then it got all these red bumps which i know are ingrown hair from research. But now when i touch any part where theres hair it feels like 40 sharp hairs are stabbing me and it kiills!
If keep shaving will it stop doing this? Or should i just trim nextime?
and by the way i shaved with cream and used aftershave cream (:

trim first (if long hair) and use shaving creme, or something soapy.

When you are shaving you are irritating the skin, but unlike the face, it is extremely sensitive. When you shave you have to be EXTREMELY careful first off. The best way is to actually buy product that are designed for this kind of shaving. I know this would be really strange to ask your parents, so I doubt that you would, hence the whole no answer But even with these products, I cant guarantee you wont get itchy or anything.
And in case you are wondering, the itchiness and the bumps you may get are not STDs or anything. This is called razor burn and it happens with irritated skin. It will go away after a while (usually a longer while, but still). Don't worry too much, just use lotion and stuff to help the itchiness. There are loads of websites (not all clean mind you) that tells proper ways of shaving down there and what products.
Hope that helps!
^^^ By me :)
I dont think it is "in style" as much as people's personal opinion.

I just let the bumps go away and not touch them

First time I shaved, the sensitivity on my pubic area was really terrible but after I shaved frequently when it grows, gets normal.
But yes, if you have bushes, trim it first, then slowly add cream onto it, shave it properly and wash it. Take your time in the bathroom and sit down. There's no need to be rushy unless you have ONE toilet to share with many family members :P

Well it really wont go away. You don't grow hair down there for no reason. You have allot of testosterone when in puberty, and that mixed in with the fact that shaving makes hair grow thicker, faster and harder to shave, you are better off trimming. I suggest letting it grow back out, and keep it attractively trimmed.
Hope this helps. :)

Trim trim trim trim! Pure shaving your pubes rarely end up working out okay. Try using scissors, or if you can buy a body trimmer @ target or something. I have a remmington hair body trimmer/groomer from there. it's awesome.

Hydrocortisone will help with the ingrown hairs now. In the future, remember to shave with a sharp razor, shave with the grain, and treat the area carefully and you won't have too many problems when shaving. But to a certain extent, it's inevitable.
