So the 'Nasty crap' thread got me thinking about things that might be delicious and are popular in other cultures but which I would just wimp out from trying because the thought is somehow revolting. Here are a few of the more obvious examples for me:
snails
frogs legs
tigers penis
sheeps eyes
testicles
Well you get the idea. So my question is has anyone actually eaten any of these, or other similar delicacies? If so, what were they like, did you enjoy them?

'course not siobhan ;)
Sorry couldn't resist that one.
First thing I thought of was "dippy eggs", which is something I've NEVER heard referenced to anyone who didn't grow up in Pennsylvania.
basically a sunny-side up egg with the yolk not fully cooked, so it's still runny.
They are pretty good, actually. But most people disagree :P

What - fried eggs are supposed to be eaten with the yolk still runny, same with poached and soft boiled

I guess it depends just how runny, but if you have ham and eggs, or sausage egg and chips, or a cooked english breakfast, the whole point of the egg is that when you cut into it this lovely yellow juminess splits out onto the plate.

^^ The egg thing honestly just made me gag. I don't eat eggs THAT often, but I can't have the yolk running at all because it makes me puke, literally. My dad eats them like that and I can't even stand to be in the room. Something about the yolk not being cooked in disgusting to me.

Note taken. I also can't order food in Poopie's either, because even if you order a salad, you get a cheeseburger.

Pig's testicles are quite popular here, though I've never eaten them
Squid - very good
Octopus - very tasty, although I hope I never get Paul (the octopus who predicts the world cup)
Snails - no, I don't really like them
Cuttlefish - yes, very nice
Lobster - yes, lovely
