I came across a dissociative identity disorder page strictly by chance...But curious I took alook. Almost every symptom and warning sign of DID matched to whats going on with me. How can I know for sure I have DID? I mean it could be just a cowincedence. I cant get it out of my head now. If I go to the doctors, how should I go about bringing this up? Is there any self tests I could possibly do??

DID is one of if not the rarest diagnosis and if you truly have it, you would have experienced symptoms long before. However, the theorized cause of the symptoms is child abuse, severe child abuse (i.e. not a slap on the head but being beaten daily for years and years with mental humiliation). You would have also had those around you noticing it and very likely to have been to the doctor's, probably with at least one involuntary admission.

I don't think you have it by your post. Remember, the list of symptoms isn't simply what is used in diagnosing. The diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis, patient history, psychological theories, etc... are all used.
