My favourite blood relation is my paternal grandmother, actually. She raised me until I was 5, and when I grew up, I realized that we shared many similar perspectives on things. We can talk on the phone for hours - the only relative/family member I can actually trust with personal thoughts.

For the purposes of your poll though, I don't have siblings, so it'll be my father. He's actually a very inspiring personality - an example of someone whose ideals were lost along with everyone else during the process of maturation, but by a strange twist of fate, eventually found again.
