The asterisk symbol next to my username?

I'm new here, and whenever I go to see my name while browsing the forums, there is a asterisk sign next to my username. Does that have to do with me being a new member or something? Thanks.

It means you are invisible.
You can change it by going to Edit Options in your User CP

you are invisible. you can also see the online/offline thing is red, meaning you're invisible.
