Which is better? Is there really any difference?

Yeah, there is kind of a big difference. Wii is just casual games ,where the 360 has more shooters and other games. Nintendo is Japanese and Microsoft is American.

lol. i had the pleasure to play on both a Nintendo 64 and a Sega Genesis.

But Wii is renowned around my area for having lame shooters, but having great party games.

the Xbox is dominant in my town just cuz of all the CoD hogs, i myself like the more refined side of Xbox, which has a wider variety of games than the Wii.

so yes i think the xbox is better. much

Xbox 360 by far. With my experience with Nintendo, the majority of their games are kiddie games. Aside from the occasional Resident Evil 4 adaptation, Mario is the best franchise game to be on the Wii. But, on the Xbox 360, you get action, shooting, and a great Modern Warfare 2 experience. You don`t get any good games for Wii.

I've liked both tbh, though the wii i'm not too struck on. N64/GB will always be my favourite nostalgia console from my childhood. Though Xbox tbh you can do more on nowadays.

I don't think that the two can be compared in a fair matter, as they cater towards different markets. Nintendo to the casual gamers, and Microsoft, or Xbox, to "hardcore" or more serious gamers. Take the controller on the Wii for example. You cannot be accurate when doing something such as shooting a gun in a first person shooter with motion control.

I prefer the xbox, because I am a serious gamer.

For me it will always be the Nintendo Gamecube, since i never had an actual N64, only played on one. Plus i remember the gamecube as my first gaming console.

I like Nintendo to be honest. And with the 3DS coming out, a bunch of games like Metal Gear Solid are coming to it. It looks like the number of 3rd party and casual games will go down with this system. Not to mention that the quality of the games will be that of the Xbox360, just about anyway.

The 3DS doesn't have the capability to have good graphics on games. Just rendered cutscenes, like on the PSP. Resident Evil 5 had really good graphics, so you don't know what you're talking about.

Nintendo 3DS cards have a 2GB capacity at launch (Which means it will only grow). The PSP's UMD can only hold 1.8 GB. The Xbox360's game disc has a capacity of 17 GB. As the 360 is a console, it will surely have the power to display more colors, render objects quicker, and so forth. But due to the 3DS being a handheld, it can't have all those options. It will be a very powerful system all together anyway. http://www.youtube.com/user/Nintendo3DS#p/u/0/tI3aOByfrZE
This is really what I'm trying to get at.

Now I'm confused. I'd watch the video if my computer didn't suck, by the way.

The Nintendo 3DS will be the quality of an Xbox360 as if it were scaled down, that is what I'm saying. Not to mention that the 3DS will be able to play 3D movies without the need for a cartridge. So it is more than rendered cut scenes with this system.

I don't think so. Like I said, it's handheld. It doesn't have the ability to do that. The Unreal Engine is a good example for this. Mass Effect 2 and the Gears of War franchise wouldn't be able to put on the 3DS because their graphical capabilities are very large. Only so much can can be done on small discs/cartridges. (I don't know what the DS/3DS uses)

false, at it's best they will have mastered N64 graphics which is why for the first time they have re-made N64 games like Zelda for the console.

@ Perseus, the 3DS will use a similar card like cartridge to the DS only it will be around twice the size.

I honestly don't think these two systems can be compared.
Nintendo is more of a family based system which is targeted at families with younger to mid-aged kids.
Xbox on the other hand, has games that are targeted towards more than the Nintendo. On the other hand, I see more families playing Wii over 360.

I am personally an Xbox fan, however I prefer to play Wii with friends and family.
