OK. My school is doing some MAJOR security updates. When I get to high school, I'll be given a district netbook for use during school. Naturally, I'll want to be using it outside school too. But, alas! The netbooks will only work within the district network. So, what's one to do but run a different OS from a portable hard drive? I was figuring I'd do that, but, to put things in a worst-case scenario, they may put passwords on the BIOS of the computers to prevent people with brains from doing just that. If they do that, then I have to bring a password cracker to the school on a flash drive or download it. But, the school is blocking the flash drive ports to prevent people from spreading viruses. They'll still work outside Windows to boot other OS's, but not within. And downloading won't work anymore because we're all non-admins on the netbooks. How would I crack the BIOS password with no downloads or flash drives? I'd prefer not to be sneaky and make myself an admin, because the district would be all over me and I'd lose computer privileges. And doing things with the netbook like unscrewing the motherboard is equally suicide. Thanks for any help.

Well I can help you with the flash drives not working, if your school technicians are as retarded as ours. We just need to create a shortcut to the drive and it works.

(D, E, F & J are normally the right ones)

It not that easy the problem it must be when installing the driver of the flash drive to be blocked, so if it is blocked its impossible to open the flash drive without the driver.

They clearly do it for a reason. Cause m$ sucks and is easy to fuck with. That's why they do it. >_> is this illegal? You are after all going to be "hacking" the computers which the school owns... Making it, yes hacking, thus illegal. No?

Ah well. Our school computer people are such idiots that we can just create a short cut and it loads. Thought it might of been the same for you.
