Ive been cutting for a few years and havent really thought if the cuts are deep/shallow etc, what would be considered a deep cut?
Does it make a difference what you use to cut yourself with regarding scars etc, or is it all about how deep you cut?
Im just curious as ive never known or spoken to anyone else that self harms before, just wondering if we all do it the same way?

I consider it deep when its starting to gape open noticeably and doesn't stop bleeding.
Yeah, that's also the point where it's probably a good idea to get it looked at. But i've only done that maybe twice (that i can think of off the top of my head anyway)

i dont know, but yeah.. i guess when it starts to gape open then yeah, its kinda deep..
sometimes cuts you dont expect to scar do scar so i dont, like, measure the deepness on the scaring?
i dont think any of what i just said makes sense sorry, but i hope i helped x

actually, the two can be pretty unrelated.
I've had shallow cuts that I didn't even expet to bleed leave scars that won't fade, while deeper ones that should have been treated better don't scar.
