What do you want in Windows 8? (the next os from Microsoft)
I'm just wondering.
*thinks* I'm a Mac so I don't really care. Though I might by the time 8 comes out. Mainly, speed and being able to have everything neat. >_> hmmm...

Renaming their windows 8 to Windows VX Element.
Somehow, Win7 did manage the speed issue with an amazing interface, and that's a good sign, you know. So, I think that's about it.
And even though speed isn't an issue to a OS. It is other application that needs RAMs. Like games for example.
It is now a prerequisite to have 4 GB of RAM and Intel Core 2 Quad Core Extreme(or i7 Extreme) or AMD Phenome II X8 processors now.

I would want more free software like Sketchup without having to download it from Google. I would also like the removal of the constant updates. A program where you can type text and it comes out as audio with a lot of voices would be nice too.

To be totally honest, I just want something that gets the job done with little to no problems.

i think it's a stupid name and im not sure what other improvements that Microsoft can make besides minor issues like security.
Maybe not preloading it with a bunch of antivirus crap.

When google bring out their OS it might come with it pre-installed. But (not saying sketchup is crap) but isn't windows got enough crap pre-installed?
Also, Mac has the voice thingy :P

They are just showing you what y'all need to own a PC :P

You can easily do the same with DOS, Unix sysV and Mac Sys7.

I don't want windows 8. People are still comfortable with Janus. It is just waste of time, money and resource.
But it is really unfortunate. If yous see how win2k sustained 5 years even though XP came a year later the release of win2k. If Vista is win2k and 7 is XP. But it is unfortunate to see that another OS Coming.
But who am I? Bill Gates' marketing manager?
But it looks simple and promising. There is nothing more I can say; I hope they treat it well.

This isn't a thread about how much money will be wasted. It's for what people want in the next OS, if you don't want anything don't fucking post. ^_^
I also want something like "Spaces" on Mac os

I'd like it to be a little bit more faster, without pre-installed anti-virus software like Norton, its a pain in the ass to remove. They should just give you a list of links to various anti-virus website companies for you to choose for yourself.

You guys do realize that almost everything that you're complaining about to have changed isn't even included with Windows, right?
The OEM guys (Dell, Gateway, Compaq, Sony, ect) are the ones that install what's known in the industry as 'crapware'. Crapware includes all the preinstalled antiviruses, the preinstalled office softwares, and any other software that doesn't come with the Microsoft branding. Microsoft (And therefore Windows) is not to blame here. And Microsoft cannot do anything about it.
Buy a retail Windows box & install that version. Gets rid of 50-70% of all problems I see damn near daily.
Anywho.
I don't really expect THAT much more out of Windows 8 than what Windows 7 is providing me.
I almost wouldn't mind having Microsoft Security Essentials & Windows Live Essentials come pre-installed with it. But it's not that hard to download it.
Other than that though...
Uh... Makes me food? :p
